Brandenburg election: AfD further ahead-SPD hopes for a surprise!
in Brandenburg, exciting developments are emerging before the elections on September 22nd. A current survey by the elections research group, published by ZDF, shows that the AfD has overtaken the SPD in voting. The survey results from the survey of over 1,000 citizens entitled to vote and reveals the preliminary vote to one of the most observed state elections. According to the survey, the AfD receives 29 percent, while the SPD only reaches 26 percent.
The situation gives the event for the ruling SPD under Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke, who is striving for a big turn in the political climate of Brandenburg. The CDU, currently a partner of the SPD in the coalition, ends up in third place with 15 percent, followed by the political group "Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht" (BSW) with 14 percent. Other surveys also show similar trends, which only increases the tension before the election date.
The distribution of votes
In the graphic for the survey, it becomes clear how the parties cut off in comparison to each other:
party | percent |
---|---|
afd | 29 |
SPD | 26 |
CDU | 15 |
bsw | 14 |
Greens | 5 |
left | 3 |
BVB/FW | 3 |
other | 5 |
In the surveys, it also becomes clear that the green, left and free voters may have to fight with the five percent hurdle. In Brandenburg, however, the basic mandate clause applies. This means that even parties that fall under the blocking clause can move into the state parliament with a direct mandate.
The prime ministerial question is in space
The results on the question of which should be elected as Prime Minister are particularly interesting. Diemanifestes that 55 percent of the respondents would vote for Dietmar Woidke, while only seven percent for Hans-Christoph Berndt from the AfD, eleven percent for Jan Redmann from the CDU and only one percent for Robert Crumbach from the BSW. This underlines Woidke's popularity despite the challenges for the SPD.
With regard to the upcoming state government, 48 percent favor the SPD, 21 percent rely on the CDU and 15 percent on the AfD. It should be noted that the SPD has been responsible since 1990, but has coalized with changing partners in recent years.
Prime Minister Woidke has announced that he wants to withdraw from state politics if his party is not the winner. This is the next turn in an already very dynamic political landscape.
The importance of this survey goes beyond the current figures. It shows the postponed balance of power in the country, which could possibly have far -reaching consequences for the future political landscape in Brandenburg. First of all, however, it will have to be shown how exactly the voters will set their cross on election day. Details on the survey and other analyzes can be found in the report on www.merkur.de .
