2950 racers in Middle Hesse: Police draws punishments at the speed marathon!

Wölfersheim, Deutschland - In Middle Hesse, an alarming number of speed violations were found in the latest speed marathon. Over 95,000 vehicles passed more than 60 checkpoints, with 2850 drivers being caught at excessive speeds. Shocking: 19 of them must expect a driving ban due to their extreme speed violations. Among them a delivery driver who could have been driving again despite an existing driving ban - his journey ended abruptly with a criminal complaint.

A car was particularly striking, which was flashed at 107 km/h instead of the permitted 70 km/h on the federal road 455 near Wölfersheim. This results in a fine of 200 euros and one point. On the 480 motorway, three speeders were recorded at speeds of 138, 130 and 125 km/h - they too are now faced with a driving ban. The police chief Stefan Jilg expressed his thanks to everyone involved and warned that the police will not let up in order to increase traffic safety through speed controls.
