38-year-old after subway shots on controllers in custody

U-Bahnhof Stadtgrenze, Deutschland - A terrifying incident at the city limits underground station: On January 1, 2025, a 38-year-old man presumably shot on two driving excerpt from the VAG with an air pressure pistol. The inspectors had previously discovered a passenger without a valid ticket and tried to determine his identity. But the man reacted aggressively, threatened verbally and finally pulled a weapon with which he fired several times on the driving excerpt. Both men, at the age of 32 and 47, were hit, one even suffered injuries on their face.

Thanks to intensive investigations, the suspect could be quickly identified. At the request of the Nuremberg-Fürth public prosecutor's office, the man was brought up to the investigative judge, who issued an arrest warrant for predatory extortion. The police continue to investigate the incident and to ensure that such attacks do not remain unpunished.
