70-year-old loses thousands in online fraud through supposed IT employees!

A 70-year-old woman from Rielasingen-Worblingen got into a perfidious fraud stitch and has lost several thousand euros. An alleged software employee tricked her by presenting her a fake security alarm. The latter allegedly warned her about dangerous access to her online banking.

Completely unsettled, the woman called the number given, where she was called back by the fraud. He convinced her to grant him remote access to her computer in order to carry out alleged security checks. Under the pretext of clarifying the situation, he prompted several transfers that the woman confirmed with release codes via SMS and TAN generator. It was only when she suspected that it was too late: the fraudster had already transferred a five -digit amount to several accounts. The police warn of such machinations and advises extreme caution.
