Construction site dispute in Schöneberg escalated-residents with a weapon threaten!

in Schöneberg there was a dramatic escalation due to a loud construction site. On Thursday morning, a 40-year-old resident threatened a 42-year-old construction worker with a shotgun. The incident occurred around 8 a.m. in Starnberger Straße when the resident complained about the construction noise. In a heated change of words, he showed the construction worker the gun and indicated that otherwise he would "show" what it means to be quiet. The construction worker, frightened by this threat, immediately alerted the police, as the B.Z. reported.

The intervention of the police was rapid: on a judicial order, the emergency services of a SEK team entered the raven's right. The suspect was injured in the arrest, and during the subsequent search, the officials not only discovered the firearm, but also ammunition and four other weapons and narcotics. The 40-year-old was taken into police custody and released a little later, while the investigation is underway.

historical review: Wall construction and its consequences

The construction of the wall led to numerous tragic fates until the case in 1989. Over 900 people lost their lives when attempting to escape on the inner German border. One of the most famous victims was 18-year-old Peter Fechter, who died on the wall in 1962 after being shot by the GDR borders. These sad events illustrate the inhumanity of the GDR regime and the devastating consequences of the division of Germany.
