Experienced fraud in Weimar: Tricker on the phone exposes!
Weimar, Deutschland - On Friday afternoon, a bank employee from Weimar reported to the police after a customer received an alarming phone call. Tricks had pretended to be officials and claimed that the 66-year-old woman would have to pay 38,000 euros as a deposit to avert an alleged custody of their relatives due to a fatal traffic accident. But the woman remained wide awake and informed the bank employee about the attempted fraud, who then took measures immediately.
Thanks to this quick reaction, a handover of the money could be prevented, but the perpetrators remain undetected. The Weimar police use this incident to urge such fraud stitches.
