Cops in dialogue: Police and students strengthen respect in Ziegenhain
Ziegenhain, Deutschland - On March 25, 2025, an exciting event of the dialogue series "Cops in the dialogue-police and school in exchange" took place at the Carl Bantzer School in Ziegenhain. Headmistress Marion Temme welcomed over 110 ninth graders and praised the initiative, which is intended to strengthen the understanding between young people and the emergency services. Criminal director Beate Theis urgently warned of increasing violence against police officers and other emergency services: "Attacks have increased significantly in recent years. It is important to strengthen respect for those who provide our security."
The event encouraged the students to get to know the police from a new perspective and ask questions directly. This innovative format was very well received by the young people and is to be continued in other schools in Hesse in the coming months in order to offer more young people a platform for exchange with the police.
