Thief strikes: Auto broken up to the cemetery - warning of burglary!
On Wednesday, April 30th, a brief burglary broke out in Weilerswist in the late afternoon: a 55-year-old woman parked her car for only five to ten minutes on Bliesheimer Strasse to make a visit to the cemetery. During her absence, thieves hit the window and stole her handbag and wallet. The incident once again shows how quickly perpetrators manage to steal valuable objects, while the victims hardly have time to defend themselves.
The police urge to warn: never let valuables visible in the car! Cell phones, laptops, cash and even navigation devices should not be left behind. These objects are often not insured. Identes and vehicle documents are also not in the car - they could tempt burglars not only to target their vehicle, but also their home. Be careful and protect your property!
