Thefts made of cars: suspect with pedelec!

In the early morning hours of February 21, 2025, a man was arrested in Wuppertal after he had apparently collapsed into several cars. Local residents of the Schwarzbach street alerted the police, who discovered a suspicious cyclist during the search. When the man saw the officials, he started moving with his pedelec and tried to hide in a shed in Langobardenstrasse.

The investigation show that the suspect opened at least two cars and stole various objects that were still in his possession when he was arrested. Despite the attempt to escape, he did not resist the police. After completing the police measures, the man was released, but a criminal complaint and questions from the criminal police are now imminent.
