Influence of drugs and robbery: perpetrator after spectacular hardware store theft!

On Saturday, March 8, 2025, a explosive incident happened in a hardware store on Mainzer Strasse. A 39-year-old man, whose residence is unknown, steel drill drilling machines worth 490 euros and wanted to flee unnoticed. But a 29-year-old employee noticed the theft and stood in the way of the perpetrator. This reacted brutally and pushed the employee on the face several times before escaping into an adjacent forest area.

The police were informed immediately and started a search. In a shed, the bag was discovered with the stolen goods and parts of the perpetrator's clothing. Thanks to attentive residents who gave information about the escape direction, the suspect could finally be caught on a property in the Roman city. Now the public prosecutor's office is investigating severe predatory theft against the already convicted perpetrator, who was also apparently under the influence of drugs. A blood sample was ordered.
