In the night of January 26, 2025, a shocking traffic accident occurred in Freiburg-Stühlinger! An e-scooter, equipped with two people, raced in a pedestrian at the Eschholzstrasse tram stop at around 00:30 a.m. The driver of the electric scooter was not only ruthless, but immediately fled from the scene of the accident and did not take care of the injured man.

The collision occurred on a section of Wannerstrasse designated as a pedestrian path, which is currently being redesigned due to construction work. Fortunately, the pedestrian only suffered minor injuries. The police have started the investigation into the exact approach of the accident and initiates criminal proceedings against the fleeting driver for drunkenness in traffic.
