On Sunday, September 1st, a special control campaign took place in Wermelskirchen under the motto "coffee and nodules". This event in front of the fire station at Bundesstraße 51 was the last of its kind this year. On this occasion, motorcyclists had the opportunity to exchange ideas with the police and talk about important traffic -relevant topics.

In the time frame from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., a total of 124 motorcycles were subjected to a check. In addition to the conversations on safety in road traffic, there were also caution. In fact, 8 of these warnings were issued, which draws attention to some potentially dangerous behaviors that were found during the controls.

control of the noise level

A central component of the campaign was to check the noise level of the motorcycles. A total of 35 measurements were carried out, with 8 motorcycles being objected to. The correspondingly striking vehicles were ensured and administrative offenses were initiated because these motorcycles could not meet the necessary operating permits. The affected motorcycles are to be brought to a test center for further examinations during Monday.

These measures reflect an important step in traffic monitoring in order to promote security on the streets and to ensure that motorcycles meet the legal regulations. The police put on this type of control campaigns to sharpen the awareness of the motorcyclists for security issues and at the same time enforce legal framework conditions.

speed controls in the entire circle

In addition to the specific controls for motorcycles, there were circuit -wide speed reviews on the same Sunday. A total of 246 identified violations occurred, 35 of which were caused by motorcyclists. It is worrying that in 5 cases the drivers concerned threatens a driving ban. Such measures are crucial to avoid dangerous traffic situations and to ensure security for all road users.

The Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis police not only promoted control mechanisms, but also an exchange between road users and the authorities. The dialog should help increase traffic safety and to improve compliance with the regulations.
