Fearing for alleged perpetrators: new details in the Herrsching murder case unveiled

The police in Herrsching published search photos of an urgently suspect after a 74-year-old was presumably stabbed his door on Friday evening. The recordings come from surveillance cameras from a local supermarket and from the crime scene and show the suspects in various clothes.

The officials ask the population for helping to obtain indications of the suspect's whereabouts. Anyone who recognizes the man in the pictures is asked to inform the police immediately. It is strongly advised to address the suspect.

The investigators have also set up an online portal to give owners of private surveillance cameras the opportunity to provide any relevant recordings. This is intended to help reconstruct the events on Friday and to determine the suspect's escape route.

The police assume that the perpetrator stabbed the 74-year-old around 9:20 p.m. and are looking for a pointed object as a murder weapon. A profiler was switched on to create a personality profile of the suspect.

After the crime, the alleged perpetrator fled on foot, whereby the police could follow the path to the banks of the Ammersee, but lost the trail there.
