Bicycle accident in Lemgo: 10-year-olds injured when collecting with a car

On Saturday afternoon, a shocking traffic accident occurred in downtown Lemgo, which affected a 10-year-old cyclist. At 1:35 p.m., a 67-year-old woman drove her Opel on the Schützentwete towards Leopoldstrasse. When turning into Leopoldstrasse, she overlooked the young girl who was traveling on the sidewalk towards a supermarket.

The collision caused a shock to the 10-year-old, but luckily it could be handed over to her father safely after a short treatment in the ambulance. The police are investigating the course of the accident and calls for increased caution in road traffic.
