Bicycle accident in Ulm: Cyclists slightly injured, car badly damaged!

A 27-year-old driver caused an accident on Wednesday evening in Schillerstrasse when she turned left into Zinglerstrasse with her Mercedes. In doing so, she overlooked a 23-year-old cyclist who came towards his racing bike with a right of way. Despite a desperate alternative maneuver, the cyclist crashed into the side against the car. Fortunately, he wore a helmet and only suffered minor injuries.

The Ulm police took up the incident and estimated the property damage to the vehicle at around 5,000 euros. The injured driver's wheel remained undamaged.
