Woman at the Stadtbahn accident in Hannover-Wülfel injured life-threatening!

On Sunday evening, March 9, 2025, there was a terrible accident in Hanover-Wülfel: a woman who had not yet been identified was seriously injured in a collision with a light rail on line 2. The accident occurred around 8:35 p.m. between the “Wiehbergstraße” and “Bothmerstraße” stops. It remains unclear why the woman was in the track area. Despite an immediately initiated danger braking of the light rail driver, a collision could not be prevented - the woman was pressed and trapped under the track.

As a result of the dramatic incident, Hildesheimer Straße had to be completely closed to rescue measures and the accident recording until around 10:00 p.m. The police have started the investigation and are urgently looking for witnesses who can provide information on the accident.
