Great fire in Iselersheim: wind turbine is on fire!

Iselersheim, Deutschland - in Bremervörde-Iselersheim there was a dramatic fire of a wind turbine on Thursday evening (May 15, 2025). Shortly after 6:39 p.m., eyewitnesses reported the inferno: the machine house of the 65 -meter -high system was already in full fire when the first police forces arrived. The fire spread quickly and reached to a rotor leaf that finally broke off with a huge roar and fell to the ground.

The police immediately initiated investigations into the cause of the fire and cordoned off the fire location. Initial indications indicate a technical defect as a possible cause. The wind turbine, which was put into operation in 2003, suffered considerable damage due to the accident, but the amount of property damage is still unclear.
