Cable drum discovered in the forest: Police are looking for witnesses!

On Thursday, April 24, 2025, an empty cable drum was discovered in the forest near Waldenbuch, which was equipped with a rest of 100 meters of aluminum cables worth around 2,000 euros. The drum originally comes from a construction site on Hauffstraße in Weil im Schönbuch, where it was used in 2022. Unknown perpetrators had apparently stolen the cable drum and recently transported into the forest, where it was disposed of not far from the water high tank.

The police have started the investigation and makes it clear that the cable drum was not outdoors for long, but probably only brought there in the last few days or weeks. The Waldenbuch police station is now asking for help: Anyone who has noticed suspects or vehicles in the area of the forest path at the water high container should report on 07157 52699-0 or by email to Boeblingen.prev@polizei.bwL.de
