Copper theft on the Rhine: Unknown loot pump house!

Am Schöpfwerk Wörth, Deutschland - Unknown perpetrators stolen the copper sheet covering of the pump house at the Wörth Schöpöpfwerk in the Oberwald in the night from March 28 to March 29, 2025. In order to get the valuable material, the thieves had to gain access to the fenced area. The estimated property damage due to the colored metal theft and the associated damage to the roof amounts to several thousand euros.

The police assume that the stolen goods were removed with a larger vehicle. A criminal complaint has been filed and the investigation is already underway. The Wörth police call the population to report information on the incident-either by phone at 07271-92210 or by email to piwoerth@Polizei.rlp.de.
