Food robbery in Weimar-Nord: Witness follows the fleeting shoplifter!

In late Thursday afternoon, a shoplifter was observed in a supermarket in Weimar-Nord by an attentive witness. The man, an estimated between 30 and 40 years old, packed food in his pocket and passed a closed checkout without paying. When the witness and an employee asked him, the man fled towards Rießnerstrasse.

Despite an immediately initiated search, the thief remained untraceable. The police described him as about 180 cm tall, slim and wore dark trousers and a blue adidas sweater. He also had a yellow shopping bag with him. No statement is currently possible about the value of the stolen goods.
