The police reported that it was a hazelnut tree that had a considerable size and thickness. Heavy devices were needed to remove it. Here the two neighbors came into play, which were at the age of 61 and 69. With their kettensaws, they helped the road construction service to remove the tree. Then they pulled the trunk off the street with an agricultural carrier.

Due to the quick reaction of the neighbors, the traffic situation in the area could be less impaired, although the weather in Rhineland-Palatinate was still bad. Heavy rains and violent wind gusts continued to be a challenge for the drivers, which led to delayed travel times.
