Pedelec driver injured: Unknown cyclists trigger shock in Siegsdorf

unknown perpetrator violates Pedelec drivers in Traunstein

Last Sunday, two Pedelec drivers were injured in the Traunstein region in incidents. The police are now looking for clues to an unknown perpetrator who was involved in both cases.

An incident occurred in Siegsdorf, where a 59-year-old woman was attacked by a stranger. The perpetrator is said to have insulted the cyclist, threatened and finally pushed against a rock face. The woman suffered minor injuries and had to be treated by a doctor.

Another case in Seiboldsdorf

Just a few hours later there was a similar incident in the Seiboldsdorf district of Traunstein. A 56-year-old pedelec driver fell and broke his arm. Here it is believed that another cyclist could have contributed to the accident. However, the 56-year-old had an alcoholic value of 1.6 per thousand, which is why an investigation was initiated for drunkenness in road traffic.

The police are examining whether both cases are connected to each other and asks the population for clues. So far there are no concrete descriptions of the perpetrators.

Why e-bikes should not be underestimated

Wilfried Schott from the General German Bicycle Club (ADFC) warns for caution in dealing with e-bikes. He emphasizes that all road users, whether with or without an electric drive, should take into account. Pedelecs in particular require experience and habituation. It is important not to overestimate yourself and handle the vehicles appropriately to avoid accidents.

FAZIT

The incidents in Traunstein illustrate the need to act carefully and respectfully in road traffic. The police relies on the help of the population to find the perpetrator and prevent further incidents.
