In the night of Thursday, May 1, 2025, unknown perpetrators devastated the city center with a wave of graffiti. In various places, including the Jakoberwallstraße, Fronhof, Volkhartstraße and on Perlachberg, the vandals left large sprays, which often contained political messages.

The police have started the investigation and is looking for those responsible. The exact amount of property damage is currently still unclear. The police called these unauthorized actions and cause excitement among the population.
