Shocking collision in Wilhelmshaven: Several injuries in the event of an accident

On the evening of May 14, 2025, a dramatic traffic accident occurred in Karl-Nieraad-Straße around 6:25 p.m. A 19-year-old driver from Visselhövede lost control of his Audi in a right-hand curve and, headally, fell into oncoming traffic, where he collided with a Volvo, directed by a 52-year-old man from Varel.

A total of six people were injured in this shocking incident, including the two drivers and four passengers: two young people aged 16 and 17 in the Audi and two children aged 8 and 9 in the Volvo. Fortunately, everyone involved only suffered minor injuries and were immediately brought to surrounding hospitals. Immediate rescue measures were required and the police have started the investigation to clarify the course of the accident.
