On Sunday afternoon, a black VW Golf was discovered, which stood on a field with an open vehicle and a plug -in key. The car had apparently strayed from a nearby dirt road and was stuck in the mud. While the police found fresh accident damage to the car, they found no suitable traces of accident in the area.

The investigations led the officials to a 54-year-old man from the Kassel district, who admitted to having sat at the wheel of the car the night before-but had no further memory of the accident.
