In a shocking accident at the village street, which occurred around 3 p.m., a 48-year-old worker was seriously injured. During earthworks with a 5-ton compact excavator and a heavy cable drum, there was a serious incident. The worker placed safety strips on the cable drum, when a component of the excavator arm slipped on the head and upper body due to unknown cause.

The man fell and was partially trapped by the metal excavator spoon. Fortunately, his colleagues quickly came to the aid and freed him with a lifting belt. The immediately alerted emergency services brought him to a clinic while he was not wearing a protective helmet. The police of the Ulm Presidium have started the investigation and is investigated against the 46-year-old foreman for suspected negligent assault. The Department of Commercial and Environment has also been switched on because an external negligence cannot be excluded.
