Heavy motorcycle accident at Völkersweiler: driver seriously injured!

In the early afternoon there was a dramatic traffic accident on the L495 at Völkersweiler: a 58-year-old driver wanted to turn left into an agricultural path and overlooked a privileged motorcyclist. The 60-year-old biker was thrown over the car during the collision and suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. He remained injured on the road.

The street had to be completely closed for around 2.5 hours, while the police carried out the accident recording and cleaned the scene of the accident. The incident once again raises questions about safety on this busy route.
