Senior according to tragedy in Friedrichsfelde: Cyclists of car recorded!

In a dramatic traffic accident in Friedrichsfelde, a 75-year-old cyclist was seriously injured this morning. The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. when the older gentleman crossed Rhinstrasse towards Seddiner Straße. Apparently he came from the direction of a supermarket and crossed the intersection diagonally. At the same time, a 59-year-old driver waited for green to continue on Rhinstrasse. When the traffic light switched to green for her, she took the cyclist too late and caught it.

The fall was violent and led to injuries to the head and foot of the cyclist. Rescue workers quickly hurried to help and transported him to a hospital where he was treated inpatient. The police have now entrusted the traffic accident commissioner of Police Directorate 3 (East) with the investigation. The exact cause of the accident is now being investigated.
