Safer on the go: Ulm records the decline in traffic fatalities 2024!

The police statistics for 2024 in the area of the Ulm police headquarters shows an increase in traffic accidents to 23,682, which corresponds to a slight increase of 1.0 percent compared to the previous year. Surprisingly, however, the number of seriously injured and killed decreases: This year a total of 42 people were killed in 39 fatal accidents, which is four less than in the previous year. The main cause of accidents remains turning, turning and entering, with an increase to 2,015 between 2023 and 2024.

In order to further increase traffic safety, the police have taken various measures, including increased traffic monitoring and prevention work, in particular by education in schools. In addition, accident accumulation centers are specifically analyzed in order to reduce the dangers in road traffic through legal and structural measures. In view of the increasing number of accidents, the police are actively involved in ensuring security for all road users.
