The incident occurred on Saturday evening when the vehicle came off the road due to the reason that has so far been unknown and overturned in a curve before there was a lying on the roof. The woman was thrown out of the car while the man was trapped in the footwell and had to be freed by the fire brigade. It is still being determined who was sitting at the wheel of the vehicle at the time of the accident.

The damage to the vehicle is estimated at around 24,000 euros. This tragic incident has hit the municipality in the Unstrut-Hainich district, and the residents are in deep grief about the loss of the man.
