In the forest near Trier-Feyen, a devastating fire broke out in a rifle club building, which tragically demanded the life of an 81-year-old man. The extinguishing work in the Matthaiser forest was difficult, as it was initially unclear whether there was still someone in the burning building. After intensive efforts by the emergency services, the older man could unfortunately only be recovered dead.
