Trick fraud in St. Wendel: 80-year-old cheated by 140 euros!

On Saturday, April 5, 2025, an 80-year-old man in the city center of St. Wendel was the victim of a brazen trick fraud. The perpetrator, who has not yet been identified, asked the seniors for 2 euros. While the older gentleman was looking for in his wallet, the accused picked up at lightning speed and grabbed an additional 140 euros in cash. Only later did the victim noticed that the money had been stolen.

The unknown perpetrator is about 30 years old, 175 cm tall, described with a strong stature and rounded face. He spoke to an Eastern European dialect, probably Polish or Czech. The police in St. Wendel are now looking for witnesses who have observed the incident or can provide information on the identity of the perpetrator.
