On Wednesday, April 24, 2025, a 76-year-old woman was the victim of a brazen trick theft in front of a bank branch in Calwer Strasse in Malmsheim. The senior had previously withdrawn money from the machine and shortly afterwards was approached by an unknown man who got involved in an apparently harmless conversation. He went so close to her that she felt pressed.

After the perpetrator followed her to her vehicle, he seemed to drop two banknotes in the passenger seat. But the surprise only came for the woman when she noticed on the departure that a envelope had been stolen from her shoulder bag with several hundred euros in cash and her bank card.
