Accident escape and drunkenness at the wheel: Schweinfurt driver caught without a driver's license

irresponsible trip: man without a valid driver's license and drunk at the wheel

An incident in Schweinfurt caused a sensation on July 13, 2024 when a 43-year-old man was drunk and caught at the wheel of his car without a valid driver's license. What started as a small accident when parking developed into a serious situation that the police called on the scene.

The 37-year-old caller informed the police that his vehicle was "attached" by the 43-year-old driver when parking. After the man found out of the call, he decided to simply drive away. Thanks to the license plate, however, it was easy for the police to determine the fleeting driver.

When the officers visited the man at his home address, they found him drunk in the car while he drank beer in the back seat. Despite several requests, he refused an alcohol test and did not reveal his personal details. It was even necessary to use physical violence to get it out of the vehicle. The man was then brought to the office, where he had to undergo blood sample.

After further research, it turned out that the 43-year-old had already lost his driver's license due to a previous drunk trip. A control of the vehicles showed that no damage had occurred and therefore no official traffic accident had taken place.

The driver now faces legal consequences for drunkenness in traffic and driving without a valid driving license. This incident serves as a warning of the risks and consequences of an irresponsible driving style.
