on Saturday evening, around 7:00 p.m., a serious traffic accident occurred on Erfurter Strasse in Sömmerda. A 70-year-old Skodafahrer wanted to turn left into Heinrich-Heine-Straße, but overlooked an oncoming 68-year-old driver. The tragic collision left the older lady slightly injured, while both vehicles suffered economic damage.

The police intervene, and a procedure for negligent bodily harm was initiated against the person who caused the accident. Another unfortunate incident that once more illustrates the dangers in road traffic!
