The number of traffic accidents in 2024 recorded a moderate increase of 0.5 %, with a total of four fatal accidents. The increase in accidents among seniors over 75 is particularly alarming by 12 %, while accidents with young drivers (18-24 years) were reduced by 8.1 %. The young drivers have 451 accidents, in 71.6 % of the cases they were the main causes. Fortunately, there was a decline in accidents under the influence of alcohol and drugs by 13.6 %.

The number of traffic accident feasures has dropped by a significant 9.2 %, from 476 in 2023 to 432 in 2024. 198 was identified by the fleeting causes of the accident, which corresponds to an educational rate of 45.8 %. The police will also carry out increased controls in 2025 to increase traffic safety, especially at accident frequency centers and in alcohol and drug controls. The predominant causes of the accident are insufficient safety distance and errors when turning.
