Schönebeck, Deutschland - On Wednesday morning, a woman from Schönebeck filed a complaint about fraud. The shock began on January 24, 2025, when she received an SMS that supposedly came from her house bank. In the news it was claimed that her photo tan would run soon and had to be renewed. Naive, the woman clicked on the link and logged in with her access data - a fatal error!

On January 27, 2025, a call from a supposed employee of the fraud of her bank followed. This spoke -free German and warned the woman of an unauthorized booking from Romania. To get your money back, you should enter your access data again. But the woman was not wrong, ended the conversation and contacted her bank directly. There she was informed about the fraud stitch and her access data was immediately blocked. The bank informed her that it will soon receive new access data. This incident is a typical example of "smishing", a stitch, the consumer advice centers and the police warn. Important: Banks do not send SMS that request access data to enter!
