Betting agency attack in Verden: Unknown perpetrator fled with gun!

An armed robbery shook a betting office on Ostertorstrasse in Verden on Sunday evening! At around 10 p.m., an unknown perpetrator entered the business after the doors were closed. With a firearm in his hand, he asked the 36-year-old employee to hand over cash. The attacked then fled on foot in the direction of the city center after he had gained his prey.

As eyewitnesses report, the crook was described as about 50 to 57 years old, around 170 cm tall and slim. He was dressed in a blue hat, a black jacket and pants and wore a storm mask during the act. Fortunately, the employee was not injured. The police initiated investigations immediately and asks for information from the population.
