Wild attack on rainbow flag in Prenzlauer Berg: Police determined!

Eberswalder Straße Ecke Schönhauser Allee, 10437 Berlin, Deutschland - An outrageous incident occurred in Prenzlauer Berg last night: unknown people lit a rainbow flag. The incident was observed around 1 a.m. by a 17-year-old witness from a bar on Eberswalder Strasse. He saw a group of four people who had been torn down the flag that belonged to the bar and then put on fire at the intersection Eberswalder Straße and Schönhauser Allee.

The perpetrators then stepped onto the burning flag and expressed themselves with insulting words. When the police arrived, the strangers fled in different directions. The Police Protection of the State Criminal Police Office has taken over the investigation in order to fold the perpetrators into account and to clarify the background of this disrespectful attack on the LGBTQ+community.
