A 30-year-old man fought an outrageous chase with the police, which led and escalated through several districts of the city. What initially started as a simple traffic control ended in a real traffic chaos, in which even police vehicles came in the ditch.

The incident started around 11 p.m. when an attentive witness alerted the police because a vehicle drove strikingly on the B1 towards Königslutter. The 30-year-old driver of the VW T-Cross ignored all the police stop signals and fled towards Wolfsburg. On his escape, he several times crossed the speed limit and forced other road users to dangerous braking maneuvers.
