Wild boar accident in Tholey: Motorists remain helpless!

In the morning of March 7, 2025, a spectacular accident occurred on Landstrasse 135 between Theley and Tholey. A 42-year-old driver had the misfortune when several wild boars crossed the road. While he was able to avoid the first animal, two other wild boars crashed into his vehicle and damaged it considerably. The airbag triggered and clamped the driver in his seat while desperately pressing the warning indicator, but could not make an emergency call.

Numerous road users passed the scene of the accident, but nobody stopped to help! Only after several minutes did an attentive driver hold and alerted the rescue workers. The St. Wendel police urgently warns that such scenes may be able to cost life. It appeals to all road users not to drive past accident sites, but to help because mutual support can be decisive. Even if there are uncertainties in dealing with first aid, nobody should remain inactive - even stopping an emergency call can be crucial!
