Cigarette machine blown up in Marzahn: Young people arrested!

In the night from Sunday to Monday, a violent incident shaked Marzahn: a cigarette machine in the avenue of the cosmonauts was blown up with a firecracker around 1:50 a.m. The police were immediately alerted and quickly arrived at the scene. Initial investigations suggest that the perpetrators are adolescents who caused significant damage to the machine due to the explosion.

Two suspects, an 18- and a 19-year-old, were arrested at the scene. After the identity assessment, both were released again. The investigation is now being continued by a specialist commissioner of the police department 3 (East) in order to find out more about the dangerous vandalism and the motifs of the perpetrators.
