Award and exchange: Urania Potsdam discovers Bernau!

On Tuesday, October 22, 2024, a 20-member delegation from the Urania Potsdam Wilhelm Foerster e.V. Bernau association visited. The aim of the excursion was to visit the building, which was awarded the special price of the 2023 building culture award: the new town hall and the Bernau visitor center. The group started its tour in the impressive, 500 square meter visitor center, which is dedicated to the UNESCO World Heritage Bauhaus, followed by a tour of the historical sites of the Federal School.

In the city center, Mayor André Stahl received visitors in the citizens' hall and informed them about the exciting history of the city. He then gave a tour of the modern administration building, which was only opened four years ago. The viewpoint on the roof terrace, which offered breathtaking looks over Bernau, was particularly impressive for the guests.
