Blue light day in Pritzwalk: Experience police history and model trains!
Last weekend, the blue light day took place in the Pritzwalker Bahnhofs building, an event that illuminates the region's police history. Visitors were able to immerse themselves in the volunteer collection, which shows over 90 years of police wrenching and confusion, including historical uniforms and devices. As part of the event, it also offered to get to know the police station better and to look at an alcohol measuring device up close. There was also a model railway setup from the Prignitz model railway fans for the small and large visitors, which provided additional fun.police chief Gerald Jach reflected on the crime statistics of past times compared to today, while Ines Welk, who looks after police offspring, proudly on the more than 350 advised children and adolescents since 2018, 60 of whom were finally police officers. However, the current crime situation presents challenges. While a police-known graffiti sprayer could be caught, it is important to clarify several cases of car windows taken in Pritzwalk. This shows how important it is not to leave valuables in the car visibly, as district manager Silke Hercht urged. Further details about the event and current police issues can be found in an article on www.svz.de .
