Violence and shots: Disputes in Pritzwalk end with arrest

A dramatic event occurred on the evening of August 30th in Pritzwalk when there was a tangible discussion between several people. According to the Prignitz police inspection, those involved met in the area of the magazine square and quickly got into a dispute that resulted in more than just verbal conflicts.

In this argument, a 22-year-old Pritzwalker was physically attacked by two men aged 41 and 46 years. The attackers sprayed his face with pepper spray, pushed him to the ground and stepped on to him. This brutal approach indicates a significant escalation that not only ended up in danger of the safety of the 22-year-old, but also that of the bystanders.

Confrontation takes dangerous turn

The incident did not seem to calm down the next day. In an unexpected step, the 22-year-old visited the two attackers, obviously hoping to clarify the conflict. But instead of finding peaceful agreement, the Situation further developed dangerously. The young man, obviously applied to the circumstances, pulled a shotgun and fired several times in the direction of the two attackers and a woman who was on site.

Fortunately, there were no injuries, but the use of the weapon and the change of shooting raise serious questions about the safety of those involved and the general conditions in the area. Already after the incident, the cartridges were found on the sidewalk, which also underlines the severity of the situation.

The police officers temporarily arrested the 22-year-old and brought him to guard. The criminal police took over the investigation to clarify the exact circumstances of the incident. The use of weapons of shot, even if in many cases they are seen as harmless, pose a great risk in reality and can easily lead to serious injuries or worse if the situations escalate.
