New lighting for Karl-Liebknecht-Straße: construction measures started
In Perleberg, Karl-Liebknecht-Straße is upgraded because the existing lighting is overtaken. The city administration announced these positive developments in a current press release. The aim of this measure is to increase security and visibility in an area that is important for many passers -by.
The work has been underway since this week. The city has decided to modernize the lighting conditions in the upper section of the street near the former border troops or EVG site. The first visible progress of the construction work is already recognizable and attract the attention of the residents and passers -by.
New shine thanks to LED technology
For the coming days, the laying of earth cables is planned, which will support the new light installation. The assembly of the new light masts and LED fiction is expected to follow from September 5th. The new lamp masts are built at a height of 6 meters each and positioned by far of around 30 meters. This new approach, which relies on modern LED technology, not only promises better illumination, but also a higher energy efficiency.
