Knowledge and support: Training for relatives of dementia patients in Perleberg
importance of training for relatives of people with dementia
In the Prignitz-Ruppin region, a new educational offer for groups is launched that are particularly affected by the challenges in dealing with dementia. The folk solidarity invites you to attend a comprehensive training in Perleberg from September 4, which was specially developed for members of people with dementia. This initiative aims to strengthen the understanding of the complex needs of dementia and their families.
content and structure of the training
The training consists of eight parts and takes place every Wednesday from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. in the multi-generation house "Perle-Treff" (Großer Markt 12). In addition to central topics such as medical, legal and financial aspects of life with dementia, emphasis is also placed on practical tips that should help relatives to make everyday life more stress -free. Such information is of crucial importance for many affected families, since they are often faced with emotional and practical challenges.
free participation for all insured
An outstanding feature of the training is that all insured persons can participate free of charge, which facilitates access to important information. This could be particularly advantageous for relatives from low -income circumstances, since a financial burden is often added if someone takes care of a person with dementia.
How society benefits from the offer
The knowledge that the participants acquire during this training can not only improve their personal situation, but also promote general understanding and acceptance of dementia in society. When families learn how to deal with the challenges better, this leads to an increase in quality of life for dementia patients and their relatives. Such an exchange and the training can help to reduce the stigma around dementia and bring the community together.
interest and registration
For interested participants, it is recommended to register by phone. The contact persons, Cornelia Eichler-Körtge (0152/54647237) and Regina Wöhlert (0174/1785866), are ready to provide information and accept the registration. With this training, citizens are given the opportunity to better deal with dementia and find valuable support.
