Workshop for unorganized workers: government schemes and solutions presented

Last Sunday, a workshop on capacity formation for unorganized workers, which was organized by the Action AID Association, took place in the Parsudih Gauri Bhawan in Jamshedpur. The event recorded a high level of participation of workers and representatives of various organizations.

The prominent speakers of the workshop included Rajiv Kumar, member of the West Singhbhum consumer court, lawyer Shamshad Khan, retired CISF subspector Balram Patro and the retired labor inspector Rakesh Kumar. They provided valuable information about the government programs available for workers in the unorganized sector and explained how to use these services. They also offered solutions for common problems with which these workers are faced with.

Saurav Kumar, regional manager of the AID Association Action, emphasized the goal of the workshop to authorize disorganized workers, to solve their problems and maximize the advantages of government programs.

The present included Pramakant Karua, Lakhi Das, Dobo Chakia, Ashish Prajapati, Sadanand Mahato, Santosh Behera, Sourav Kumar, Viren Nayak, Anirudh Sarkar, Arun Kumar, Tapan Kumar Gorai Soren, Lalita Purana, Manoj Tiwari and Rajkumar Chauhan.
