Accident in Muggensturm leads to injuries to a motorcyclist and high property damage

On Sunday afternoon, a traffic accident occurred in the main street of Muggensturm, in which a motorcyclist was injured and a damage to around 16,000 euros occurred. The accident was caused by a 55-year-old driver by overlooking the motorcyclist.

The driver, who came from Bischweier, intended to drive past a parked car shortly after the entrance to the town when he overlooked the oncoming 35-year-old motorcyclist. The motorcyclist braked heavily and fell. The driver avoided to the right and instead collided with a car parked there.

The injured motorcyclist was then taken to a nearby hospital. The 55-year-old driver's car suffered considerable damage and had to be towed because it was no longer ready to drive. The local police have started the investigation into the course of the accident and the driver has to expect a complaint. - nag
