Building plans in Federburgstrasse: modernization or loss of the charm?
Federburgstraße 49, 88214 Ravensburg, Deutschland - The Fernburgstraße in Ravensburg is facing a further transformation due to planned renovation work. A building at Federburgstrasse 49, which was built in the 1960s, is to be extensively renovated. Mayor Dirk Bastin reports that the client wants to preserve the existing building. Impressive balconies are planned over the entire front and a new underground car park. However, the large -scale glass fronts could remind the surrounding residents of large city architecture, which caused some concerns. Nevertheless, Bastin emphasizes that the view of the valley would be attractive for residents and that the measure would reduce the CO₂ footprint of a new building.
At the same time, a large single -family house is demolished at Oppoltshofer Weg 2 to make room for a modern residential building with a flat roof. Here, the living space is even to be reduced compared to the previous building in order to better adapt the new design to the environment. While various suggestions to improve plans are still being discussed, the mayor is optimistic that the new construction projects will contribute to the attractiveness of the city. More information about this planning is in a report by www.schwaebische.de to read.
